Google loves Linux so much it's using it as a base for their Linux-like android...
I'll go one further. Google's web servers all run Linux. Since day one.

Wait. You mean that even though I installed Picasa via therepository, it's running Wine? Never knew that.
I don't want to edit photos. I simply want to mange my files and folders in my web browser at picasa.google.com. I can't. Linux is not supported at the Picasa web site.

That is exactly what that means. It is a Windows program running in a wine container. I don't want to edit photos. I simply want to mange my files and folders in my web browser at picasa.google.com. I can't. Linux is not supported at the Picasa web site.

If you have a gmail account or any other google account you can access picasaweb.google.com (upload/manage photos etc.) without having to install picasa on your computer. Click on the Photos tab at the top of any Google/gmail account page.

Tried that last night and it works without problems - move, delete, copy, go editing in Picnik, no OS question whatsoever.

When I used google in the past I could copy / move / delete the photos via browser... I think it's still possible... Can someone confirm that? Mark maybe one of Your add-ons blocks the buttons? Regards.

Bingo! That's it! picasaweb.google.com did the trick! Perhaps I navigated to the incorrect site within Google?
Marking this solved.
