Good night  Smiley

I wa wandering around the web and camo to ask myself: What are the pclinuxos relases

So far I got that:

KDE is the one and only officlal version, an its twin KDE minime ( a minimal kde one)

2) the unofficila versins (maintainde by the community) are

Phoenix and phinix (same as kde above)
Openbox and openbox bonsai (same as kde above)
E17
gnome zen and gnome zen-mini  (same as kde above)

there's no pcliunuxos gnome "clean"

ok, is that right?

the "official" gnome zen mini is : http://zen.pclinuxos.org.pl/
there's not a website for a gnome zen?

looking for some answers, thanks in anticipation, most of all for your work!

The KDE4 and its MiniMe are indeed the "official " releases ,

the others are either confirmed community remasters (LXDE, &, Phoenix )

 or "powered by" PCLinuxOS.
Phinx is the first highlighting this , others will include E17, OpenBox, Gnome, Zen Mini, Bonsai and my own RAW and Iced latte iso's will be included

To be "powered by" means that its a community remaster that is compatible with the repo's, although the ultimate responsibility/liability for support is with the creator of the iso's

the distinction of "Powered By " is fairly new and may be subject to change

Damn Sproggy you are a hell of a salesman I haven't used XFCE for a long time (always liked it) and I'm happy with e17, LXDE and KDE, now I want to try Phoenix  Undecided and complicate my life

I will download tonight...

Thanks man  Wink

oh...I missed lxde and full monty, sorry... Embarrassed

if I got it right that official remaster sentence means that the phoenix version matches the pclinuxos the general and kernel "setting", while still somewhat customized.
But that's not the matter of other remasters, that are more "cstomized" in therms of kernel and such.

(sorry but english is not my mothertongue   Embarrassed )

got some more questions

1)what is the iced latte version?

2)sobebodymay tell me  some more about gnome, since I'm interested in it?

3)A gnome verion is not gonna be planned?

4)There's a the homereage of gnome zen, if one exist , so I may download it from there? (not thezen-mini)
ok, inthe end could you kindly pos a list of links from where it is possible to download every single version of the above mentioned?

Hi all!
Happy New Year! I downloaded and install the Gnome zen-mini last night and I looooove it. I am just wandering how I can tell if it is a -32 bit or a -64 bit because I would like to run Livestation but the 3.02 (?) version is only for -32 bit and the 3.01(?) doesn't work anymore.
Oh! I also downloaded and installed Phoenix also but I am kind of a Gnome guy.
Thanks and keep up the good work!

PCLinuxOS-Gnome has its own forum.
http://linuxgator.org/gnome/forum/

The official releases are 32bit.

It can get quite irritating can't it? My user name here is the nickname just about everyone knows me as. I have never spelled it any other way, yet people still spell it it any of about half a dozen different ways. I keep telling them, but the same people keep getting it wrong.  Angry
