I just got an HP Pavilion dv6-6110us laptop, everything works with PCLinuxOS except the Ralink 5390. Anyone have any idea how to get this to work? All I can get from HPs site is an exe for the driver...

Hi exploder,

it appear that experimental support for your card has been added in kernel 2.6.39:
http://linuxwireless.org/News/2011-05-19

later improved in kernel 3.0.0:
http://linuxwireless.org/News/2011-07-22

The current PCLinuxOS kernel, 2.6.38.8-pclos3, doesn't provide support for your card.

Your choice right now is limited to the ndiswrapper. (unless you are going to build a newer kernel yourself).
Basically upon configuration of the card you choose "ndiswrapper" driver and provide the driver for windows, preferably win XP.
(from a driver CD or other media)

Well, I ended up putting Windows 7 back on until PCLinuxOS gets updated. I did not go with the HP install, I started from scratch and it works fine for the time being. Oh well, something to look forward to and I still have PCLinuxOS on my desktop.
