PCLinuxOS - Heck Yeah !

« on: December 21, 2011, 12:14:14 PM »

The Mozilla developers have not only given the Firefox browser a faster JavaScript engine with their update to version 9.0   but they have also closed various critical security holes. One critical flaw in previous versions of the browser allows an embedded OGG video element of "extreme" size to cause a crash that can potentially be exploited to inject malicious code. However, Mozilla is currently keeping the specific details of this confidentially disclosed vulnerability under wraps.

I was a bit lazy, just looked at Help > About Firefox, which says 'Firefox 9.0'.

Was pretty sure latest in Repos was 9.0.1-1, as I remembered installing it, but would hate to post wrong info, people would find full version no. when installing  Wink

I love how you use the command line, I'd have to say I've learnt a lot from you Andy, no suckage implied, just the truth. You put it out there, I'll learn.
Opportunity to thankyou for your Tutorials, which I have used to install Avast ! (had a few gremlins but all good), and the pidgin Tutorial, which worked great, until I realised I have no friends, lol ... Cheesy
