Any modern webcam should work fine .........  if you have any in particular in mind then please post a reference.

Most modern webcams are compatible with uvcvideo and should therefore work without problems.

I use a $10 webcam without any problem.

I've been trying to get uCorder, Model IRDC250 to work as a webcam.  I can access it as a video recording device (storage device), but not as a webcam.  Have any of you succeeded in getting it to work?

Thanks.

Bought for $15 a C260 Logitech Webcam, works great for me on KDE4.  Bought another for $10 for a friend.  They sell for higher prices in the stores.

You need to start a separate thread about the device to get attention from those who might be able to help.  Wink
