Angry After exchanging Openbox for FullMonty(which installed w/o the fm but the regular desktop, it's ok though) and I did get internet working again and the touchpad but no tap or vertical slide bar working. Gotta tell you, it takes a lot to get these two working. Almost made me miss Mint9 which had no problem w/these (shame!) ... so what do I use to get it back to normal? It's a Dell XPS M1210. I believe an IBM driver worked once. Any suggestions?  As for the rest, it works great and looks good too. Before latest Full Monty, my Openbox froze permanently after loading compiz fusion. Once I get my touchpad back all I'll need is to find that clear-looking time/date/weather app I like.

A couple of the solutions here worked for me.
