I've been acquainted with this guy for several years (on the internet). Here's his blog where he discusses saving the day with a Live CD, PCLOS and Puppy.

Really a good article (blog), I have several friends I have introduced PCLinuxOS to and they are using it instead of Win, one still dual boot because his printer is a Lexmark we don't have a workable driver for his use. So he works in linux and prints in Win for the 6 or 8 sheets he prints in a years time. He is waiting for the ink to run out (just loaded $50 bucks into ink) then he's picking up an HP printer as I mentioned that's the one I use at home. Nice find, good article to share.
