Another week has come and gone. Here are the noteworthy updates from the past week.

Notable package updates this week include:

PlayOnLinux 3.6 – Sofware which allows you to easily install and use numerous games and softwares designed to run with Microsoft®’s Windows®.

aTunes 1.13.3 – A most excellent full-featured audio player and manager written in Java.

BleachBit 0.6.3 – Deletes unnecessary files to free valuable disk space and maintain privacy.

ChmSee 1.0.6  – An HTML Help viewer for Unix/Linux.

Chromium Browser 4.0.204.24850 – The open-source web browser project behind Google Chrome. This build gets proxy support for KDE and Gnome!

Emesene 1.5 – Aan OS independent MSN Messenger client.

LyX 1.6.4 – A modern approach of writing documents with a computer.

Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.23 – A  full-featured email, RSS and newsgroup client.  This is a security update package.

Avidemux 2.5.1 – A free video editor designed for simple cutting, filtering and encoding tasks.

Conky 1.7.2 – A system monitor for the desktop originally based on the torsmo code.

Exaile 0.3.0 – A media player aiming to be similar to KDE’s AmaroK, but for GTK+ 2.x.

FileZilla 3.2.7.1 – A fast and reliable FTP client and server with lots of useful features and an intuitive interface.

Midori 0.1.9 – A lightweight GTK+ 2 web browser based on WebKitGtk.

Rhythmbox 0.12.4  – Music Management application with support for ripping audio-cd’s, playback of Ogg Vorbis and Mp3 and burning of CD-Rs.

Transmission 1.7.4 – A lightweight yet powerful BitTorrent client.

PokerTH 0.7.1 – A free and open-source No Limit Texas Hold’em Poker game.

PyKaraoke 0.7.1 – A free karaoke player for Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, Windows and GP2X.

Smile 0.9.12 – A video slideshow creation application supporting background music.

Notable new packages this week include:

Fofix -  A FretsOnFire fork with plenty of features, customizable themes and options.

Ike – The Shrew Soft VPN Client for Unix is a free IPsec Client for FreeBSD, NetBSD and Linux based operating systems.

Imagination – A most excellent lightweight and simple DVD slide show maker written in C language and built with the GTK+2 toolkit.

LXMusic – A simple GUI XMMS2 client with minimal functionality.

Natpad – A text editor which supports most standard editor features, extending this basic functionality with other features not usually found in simple text editors.

OneClickFtp – A FTP-Client written in C++/Qt4, with which you can Upload Files with just a few Clicks.

Videoporama – Software designed to make an image slideshow and export to video file.
