The GNOME Release Team have issued version 2.32.1 of the GNOME desktop for GNU / Linux and Unix, the first maintenance update to the GNOME 2.32 series. According to GNOME developer Luca Ferretti, the latest stable release includes a variety of bug fixes, translation improvements and minor updates to the included GNOME packages, such as the Empathy instant messaging app and the Evolution mail client. This update should appear shortly in your Synaptic Package Manager if you have the Gnome Destkop installed.
We’re excited to announce the PCLinuxOS Enlightenment Desktop packages have been updated to the second beta release of the Enlightenment Foundation Libraries. After a huge amount of work by the Enlightenment developers, they are finally approaching the 1.0 release, and are asking for the community to help test this version in the widest array possible of configurations so that they can be confident their final product will be rock-solid! This update will appear in your Synaptic Package Manager shortly if you have the Enlightenment desktop installed.

On 3rd November 2010, KDE has released 4.5.3, containing translation updates, performance and stability improvements and other bugfixes. KDE recommends everybody running 4.5.2 or earlier versions to update. This update will appear shortly in your Synaptic Package Manager if you are using the KDE desktop on PCLinuxOS. |
