Mini Release Explosion!!!
Written by Smiling Bob
Tuesday, 30 June 2009

Just released are two ‘mini’ editions of PCLinuxOS. You will know them by their names MiniMe and Zen Gnome Mini.

MiniMe is a minimal livecd that is bootable and can be installed. It comes with a very basic KDE desktop without additional applications. It is designed for advanced users or for users who wish to learn how to customize their system with the applications and support files they want to use. Additional software can be installed through the Synaptic Software Manager (requires network connection). Add your own background, window decorations, web browser client, email client, music client and fully trick out your desktop the way you want it. MiniMe iso provided by community member Cindy Solis.

Here is also the English-only version of ZEN-mini, 360 MB in size — a fully working Gnome desktop and only a few apps installed (Fireforx, gEdit, grdc and Eog)… one of the smallest Gnome distros available today! This is an updated iso originally provided by community member Don Crissti.
